Rebecca Black, the wannabe teen pop star behind the so-bad-it's-awesome single "Friday," is looking to turn her "worst video ever" notoriety into legit fame. Eighth grader Black appeared on Good Morning America Monday morning to show fans that there was real talent underneath all that heavy production. Check out Rebecca Black's Auto-Tune-free acoustic rendition of "Friday" below.
Black said on GMA that she's "not the best singer, but not the worst singer" -- which seems to be a pretty good assessment. Most of the online ridicule hasn't been directed towards Black's average-to-good singing voice, but at the silly lyrics and the bizarre production values of the video itself. Still, Black says, the comments hurt -- especially the vicious ones suggesting that she cut herself or develop an eating disorder. "When I first saw all these nasty comments, I did cry. I felt like this was my fault and I shouldn't have done this," says the very composed 13-year-old. "And now I don't feel that way." She shouldn't feel that way, really, because she now has some pretty powerful friends on her side. Ryan Seacrest helped Black set up an official Twitter account (yes, the fake one had us all fooled) which currently has over 30,000 followers. Nicole Richie tweeted her support of the young singer, writing, "Rebecca Black is DOPE! I'm gonna support her music, her work and her dream... but still make Friday jokes." Nick Jonas sang an emo piano cover of "Friday" at the "Concert for Hope" this weekend. Willow Smithjoked that "Bieber Fever" was starting to be replaced by the "Rebecca Black Plague." Even Justin Bieber, whom Black begged for a duet on GMA, tweeted a response to the song: "Sunday comes after saturday? Weird." Okay, so she might not get that duet, but she gets to say that Justin Bieber noticed her! And, even better, he's not the only one.

The weekend that Justin Bieber cut his hair, he also shot the music video for his "That Should Be Me" remix, featuring country band Rascal Flatts. This weekend, the full music video premiered, and it shows off that very famous cut.
The video is a meta-statement on making videos. The guys of Rascal Flatts pull up to the studio while Bieber sits in a room practicing the track. Bieber and the band sit and rehearse the song before they are brought to the room to shoot the lo-fi performance video.
We see the camera and lights filming the guys, who stand in front of a white backdrop performing the song. Bieber is occasionally seen in the sparse room alone singing the track, dressed in black. Shots of the finished performance are edited with those of Bieber and the band rehearsing the track, off his Never Say Never - The Remixes album, which was released last month. The video ends with Bieber walking off the set.
"They flipped out," lead singer Gary LeVox said of bringing his daughters to the set the day of the shoot with the teen star. "Brittany ended up singing one of his songs to him. He was hugging them and was so sweet to them. I've even got a low-grade Bieber fever. I think I'm in the running for dad of the year."
Bieber also tweeted about the video's runaway success on Sunday, writing, "And just saw... #ThatShouldBeMe vid with @rascalflatts is now #1 on ITUNES!! Thank u all so much. We are very proud of that song. #MuchLove."
Enjoying an evening of sport, Hayden Panettiere was spotted at the Vitali Klitschko vs. Odlanier Solis boxing match on Saturday night (March 19).
The ?Heroes? hottie looked fabulous in a spiffy white dress as she posed for the paparazzi with Natalie Klitschko and Tatjana Konig at Lanxess Arena in Koln, Germany.
Hayden was in the house to support Vitali, the older brother of her hunky beau, boxing champ Wladmir Klitschko.
In related news, Ms. Panettiere recently told press that she had some experience dealing with scary situations leading up to her gig with ?Scream 4?- she once was home alone when a burglar tried to break in.
Hayden explained, "It was the scariest moment of my life. The alarm was going off and off and off, but no one was coming. As soon as I knew what was happening, I grabbed my Taser and my cellphone and locked myself in the bathroom."
"I called a friend that lived close and I called my dad. I was sitting and shaking by the toilet, but then was like, 'Screw this! I'm not waiting for somebody to come barging in.' So I crawled out the window.?
"I'm running with this Taser in my hand and I run around the corner of the house and I've got like seven police with sniper rifles and lasers on me. I'm going, 'Don't shoot! Don't shoot me, please!'"
